Hi Stuart, I like the angle of capture with the bird flying slight towards you providing good eye contact. I like that the head does not merge with the wing. The stick enhances the image in my opinion. Good details. I would run noise reduction or slightly blur the background a little (tiny bit). The reflection just behind the bird is mildly distracting to me. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pose, positioning and sharpness. The stick is a welcome addition. I think the background could be improved perhaps. Agree the reflected vertical line conflicts with the birds movement.

The twig is especially nice because it is an interesting shape and it is hard to find these birds doing much else when they are flying.
