    More Skagit Eagle action, as the salmon run declines Snow Geese are pouring into the valley creating additional shooting ops. Shot with Canon40D ISO 400w 100-400L lens F5.6 1/250 sec with slight crop.

    Either you got very close or this is a heavy crop! Great pose, slight magenta cast on the feathers. I would sharpen the face a bit more. I am heading your way tomorrow to shoot some eagles. Doesn't look like the weather is going to cooperate!

    Great exposure on the snow, nice posture. Maybe a little s/h to open up some of the darker areas.

    Yes David the weather is has been pretty miserable the last few days although there is no snow now it's been dark and overcast.:D

    Agree with comments !! Like the unusual pose and up turned head !! ... if you go back and sharpen would go over the head area only !!!

    Hi Phil, I like the pose. Besides the suggestions above, if it were mine I would try and bring out a little more detail in the darker areas. Never-less an enjoyable image. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice pose, exposure, and HA. The IQ department is lacking a bit IMO.
