This perspective really shows off the large shovel bill that gives this species its name.

OK, Jim, now you're just showing off. Seriously, another stunning image. All the techs look perfect, combine that with a complimentary background, the slight motion blur of the wings, the droplets on her body and under the wings, the lovely eye, make this a delight. You've got a fantastic duck series.

Grace stole my words. Simply stunning!! Did you try a more pano crop with little more room at the front? I am thinking it might look better.

The angle is perfect. Love the detail, especially on the upper right wing. BG is the perfect complement in terms of colors
    Stunning

Awwww, I just love those water drops in her belly. You are really getting some serious collection of great birds in gorgeous light. Keep them coming.

Thanks for comments. I thought about the pano but I just liked this presentation better for web display but I do think it could go either way.

    James,

Looks like you are getting specialized in these kind of images. This one rocks as well with the detail, pose, wing blur and fantastic BG. Well done.

Another winner! You must be taking care of these guys, because they sure are taking care of you!
I'm not sure which I like more... the duck or the killer BG?!

Cool details, light, BG and sharpness. The wing position might not be ideal but it really does show the bill very well. I would tone down the whites on the wings a bit, they are partially overexposed.

Yet another spectacular DIF (duck in flight). One by one you're racking up all of my favorite waterfowl species. The shovel bill, eye contact, BG and water drops make this a killer image. Once again, well done!

Great exposure, great eye contact and overall great image. The water droplets really add to the detail of the bird. I also like the out of focus wing tips on each side, really shows a sense of movement.
