    Hi Gail

Good looking bird !! Clean bg and nice pose, can't figure how the light was hitting the bird, underside of tail is very light? Would darken it some and increase the overall contrast for more punch !! Did well in minimizing the perch. Lots of feather detail and sure like the look and feel of that beak !!! ... didn't see the ISO but that 7D is a good performer, raise if you need !!

Agree with Al's comments regarding reducing perch in frame. Love the BG and clean/bright eye. Interesting capture angle I like it, more punch (contrast tweaks) could pay dividends - nice one.

Hi Gail - lots to like here - Good pose, HA and eye contact - love the sharp details.
Id consider removing the twig near the tail and increasing the contrast just a tad.
    Well done :)

    Hi Gail,
I like the capture...I too would consider cloning out the lower branch near the tail. Agree with Mr. Forns' fine critique...You have good details and a good head angle...keep them coming...
