A typical Aussie possum's mortal enemy. The Powerful Owl. Australia's largest owl belonging to the Hawk-owl family. Absolutely stunning creatures. A family of four has been resident in a Sydney park and I visited them a few times. Adults were easier to approach than the juveniles. At times they'd roost low as well, which made this image possible.

Very nice, I like the informative BG (a bit noisy), sharpness and details, colors abd comp.
I would probably remove the two catchlights.

Pretty cool find, I like the side-view perspective, sharpness and setting. Another vote for NR on the BG and I would make the pupil black, there is a slight red cast as presented.

Haven't seen you here for a while Akos. Sharp, nice feather details around eye and beak. Some BG noise. Was it fairly dark when you made this? I am a portrait fan.:)
    Cheers mate.

Nice profile shot of this species Akos. The hint of foliage in the BG is brilliant. Well done:)

Neat looking bird, very cool. BG noise mentioned, love the feather detail. Wish he or she was turned a few degrees more towards the camera.

    Szia Ákos,

Very nice owl portrait with fantastic details. I like the colors, but the BG is little noisy.

Hey Bro, I like the close up perspective here, and how is that beak - sure looks like it could rip anything apart. I still need to capture any owl.

I agree with Axel here! Love the intense stare, and shapness of the owl but would do some extra noise reduction on the BG and remove the red from its eye. Otherwise a fine headshot mate!

Thanks folks. :) Appreciate you taking your time to review and offer thoughts. I also realized the noise and did a run of NR on the BG. And cleaned up the eye as suggested by a few of you. Here is a repost and thanks again.

Wow, the repost makes a big difference. Love the glare this owl is giving, and the details you captured are simply amazing.
