I took this image of a tree and cloud pattern by my house-did a gradient map color change and some accented edges, then a touch of fractalius:)Added one of my brush pre-set chops. Which I made for the last weekly theme.

    Nice image and application Denise.

Interesting color flow and open cloud area below the trees.

Great work Denise, very moody! I like your chop! I would suggest moving the chop to the upper right area, to balance the image. This weeks entries are definately a cut above the last Asian theme week!

Interesting D, like the grey sky and the clouds using difference or exclusion. You almost get the feeling of being on top of a mountain.

Beautifully rendered, Denise. Love the painting like effect.

I love the technique and the overall image, Denise. For me, the placement of the trees feels low in the frame - I'd either take a bit off the top or move the trees higher in the frame so a bit more of the "trunk" area was in view.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the comments.
Jules, I agree w/ your thoughts. I was trying to stay w/ the theme. I am not too familiar w/ Asian art but I do find their composition to be much different then ours.

Denise, a beautiful painting. I think the clouds look like mountains - it has a very asian feel to it:)

wonderful mood to this one Denise.. I too thought the clouds were mtns. at first. The negative space adds a definite Oriental quality to the image, I like it as is :)
