Looking good here, was this HH? It is good, a wee bit soft on my monitor for 1/2500 - maybe it's my eyes too - still nice detail.

Composition is good, nice eye and HA is great. The HA Police will need to leave you alone on this one :)

Did you run NR on the BG, looks like some noise there, maybe its me - well done like the tech settings - sweet.

Hi Mirenchu - Agree with Jeff: good composition, and there does seem to be some noise in the bg. The hardest thing may be the direction of the light which isn't lighting the head of the bird. I took the liberty of reworking the image a bit. Hope you don't mind. I am sure you are much better at PS than I am. I ran Levels to set the black point, and moved the center arrow to lighten the whole image. I then selected everything but the bird, and ran Noise Reduction. Then sharpened the bird with USM. It may not be the effect you were looking for however, just suggesting this as an alternative.
    Cheers
    Gail

    Hi Lady Mirenchu,
I like the composition and low capture on this little lady. She has a good head angle and good eye contact. I see a little noise in the background, and easy fix. In addition you need to open up the area around the eye, because its a little dark, and selective sharpen it. I would prefer a happy medium in between your original and Gail's repost as far as lighting goes. I like this...good show...

    Great re post Gail !!!!

Mirenchu check the basic exp, the -1 might have underexposed the image some ... and remember it will lead to noise !!!

... great point on the light angle, best to have the bird evenly illuminated ... or fill with flash !! Rather have the even natural light !!!
