ACR 5.6 in CS4 works with newer cameras.
No, this is how Adobe tries to persuade you to get the new version. :) They will probably release CS5 sometime this spring.
Short of upgrading to Lightroom, CS4 or using the canon software I believe all you can do is convert to DNG and CS3 will work fine. It is a free download from Adobe. Hope this helps.

Harshad, just install the DPP sw that comes with the camera it is very easy to use with excellent results.

Harshad,
The DPP software works well for the RAW conversion and when they make improvements they're available for download from Canon's website. They also have some online tutorials. Maybe this link may help.

Elements 7 & 8 can be upgraded with ACR 5.6 and will process 7D raw files. If you don't want to spend the money for CS 4 Elements 7 or 8 are pretty inexpensive and will do much of what you can do with CS 3.

Latest version (out yesterday) of Breeze Browser Pro can also convert 7D RAW files.

The current Lightroom 3 public beta expires on April 30, 2010 and it will do the 7D. It is also free.

Hi Harshad
As I have said before, Canons DPP is best suited for your camera, as it is dedicated to Canon, like Nikon is to it's own software. Although simple, it has the desired affect and I hope the pointers I sent you will help;) It just takes time to get used to it.
You might also like to flick through this too.
All the best and look after those 'cubs';)
