    Default Juvi Ibis in Flight

From our recent trip to the frigid sunshine state... Grace and I setup on a ibis flight path at Waco while Ted and Terry were alligator watching as the sun was setting. I was lucky enough to get a juvi pass.

    Thanks for looking,
    Lou

Hi Lou, Nice flying pose in nice light. Your image appears nicely exposed and sharp. I like the angled flight towards us with good eye contact. I also like the sky with the hint of clouds. Compositionally I would place the bird in the upper left hand corner of the frame. Hope you do not mind but I took your image into photoshop an tried one of the techniques in Robert O'Toole's ATATPS 2 to Increase lead room without cropping. Hopefully I have done his instruction justice. Something to consider. Thanks for sharing.

Hummmm. I rather like Lou's comp with the wisps of clouds behind the bird and the slight look back. It's a bit unconventional but to my taste, it's nice. You really nailed this bird, Lou, and with a mk3 no less. ;)

    Phil,

No worries, my comp was because of the clouds, I felt there was enough space for the bird to fly into already.

Nice job with the canvas extension..

Something in between the two crops would work best for me. I like the wing position and angle and would tone down the highlights a bit.

Nice flight pose and agree with Axel on something in between the two. Exposure and detail look fine.

I like the wing position captured Lou a very nice shot. I think the repost with the added space works well.
