    Hi Allen, When I look at this I keep think that a lower angle would have work better to get you a different BG if that was possible as is the Heron and BG seem to merge into one tone.

    Wow, he did very good :) Is it a young bird judging by the coloring?
    Not sure you wanted to lay on the ice for a lower angle :)
    Good exposure and placement in the frame.

    hi Allen - love the fishing action - sure a lower angle would have been good - you would have to be hardcore though ;)
    Id be tempted to sharpen the eye a tad more.
