Homer at its peak was simply amazing, even away from Jean's backyard. This image was from the parking lot at the harbor after a snowfall.

And yes, the birds were quite tame. And some of the tourists were quite attractive. This young lady was visiting from Germany. Winter tourism will surely be down with the eagle feeding ban on the spit in full effect.

Amazing, Arthur...I don't think I've ever seen so many bald eagles in one place at the same time. Thanks so much for sharing this!

This is awesome Artie. Had no idea there were so many eagles at one time and that you were able to get so close. So sorry I did not make it up there before Jean passed away. Thanks a lot for sharing this.

This makes Conowingo look pretty underwhelming in comparison.

The first image actually shows a small group. Judy, if you are interested in getting up there this year shoot me an e-mail.

    I'm sorry I missed too.
I think Robert O'Toole is leading a group to photograph eagles very soon. I'll just have to settle on Spoonbills or Florida eagles.
