Went to see my god-daughter play soccer and found this eagle on the way home. Almost full frame, set black and white point in levels, added gradient, sharpened in usm.

Looks like a healthy bald eagle, great capture, there's some nice detail throughout especially on the head. I find the right side a bit distracting with the tree, and think maybe take that out and just crop it vertically or try to add some blur to it.

Hi Roy - good looking bird - I would think about cropping vertically and removing a lot of the LHS.
A tad tight at the bottom. Exposure looks good - might lighten the mid tones just a tad and lighten and sharpen the eye.
    Good show :)

agree with the above comments, especially about lightening it somewhere.

I would crop it verically and get rid of the trees on the right

Like others have mentioned the eye needs brightened, the mid-tones could stand to be punched up and a vertical crop to remove distracations would strengthen the image. There some nice feather detail there and I like the head angle. Definately a good looking bird. With a little tweaking it should make a really nice image.

Thanks everyone, interesting that most of the comments are very, very similar. Looks like I'll go back to the original and crop to a vertical and lighten it a bit.

Beautiful bird indeed, as Gus puts it "very majestic".
I too would crop it vertically and remove the trees.
    Congrats
