Lovely playful pose of these two, nice detail for a 2 X tc.
Might tone down the BG a little more if possible, just a slight nit, doesn't detract from this fine composition.

Nice interaction captures here. I think opening up and lowering the iso would have brought a little more detail here as even @ f9 it wont cover both coyotes. Agree on toning down the bg a little. Very fine image, TFS.

Fabulous action Steve. I'd try selecting just the coyotes and then working the bg.

I like it a lot Steve Got to love those faces !!! Might back down the sharpening just a bit, just sharpen on a layer then reduce opacity to taste !! ... sure wish it was mine :)
.. is this from last year? Snow not all that deep right now !!
Thanks Alfred,
This is from last Wednesday, taken close to the ranger station in Lamar. The snow was much deeper in the valley than the surrounding area.
Thanks everyone for the critiques. I am having more trouble with the conversions than I should. Practice, practice practice.

Nicely done Steve. Evokes emotion, gotta love that.
Steve I would love to have this is in my collection, it's spot on!
I think the conversion is good, be interested the workflow you did and IMHO the sharpness is also good too. Be curious to see the result through DPP if you haven't used it.
Very jealous;)

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Steve,
I love the interaction. I agree that you need to tone down the whites in the background a bit. Were you on car or snow mobile? A fine image.

Very sweet behavior, and the habitat takes it over the top. I may crop some off the top for a stringer composition.
There's a thread or two on the Edu Resources about recovering the whites.
Like the interaction and the snow flying out from the coyote on the right. Like the expression of the coyote on the left as well.
