    D300, 400 2.8 w/1.4tc, 1/250, f5.6, iso800, man exp
    One of the wolves seen last winter in Yellowstone. Saw quite a few but from a distance.

    Not sure whether the B&W works in this one Todd? But perhaps it's not too different in your color version either.
    Needs a closer view I feel, is this F/F?

    Marc,
    You are right, the color is not much different and no not full frame. There were two heading right towards us when we were joined by a few other vehicles :( which made them turn away. Did not have a chance to change the 1.4 to the 2x. I have much closer images from a spring trip. Next month will be looking again. Thanks for the comments.

    Hi Todd Is this Wolf #149? Sure looks like him, never got close but did see him through a scope !! I like the placement in frame and snow detail !! Big Congrats on your wolf !!!

    I can visualise the scene and like it. I would have moved my camera for a slightly lower placement of the subject. This image would look good when printed big.

    Al not sure which wolf it is, no wolf watcher around to I.D as it happened to quickly.
