    Default Barred Owl and Oak

    Early one morning my wife called out, there's an owl sitting on one of the logs leaning into the pond. I quickly gathered up my photo gear and headed down to the pond. As I approached he jumped into the water, as he regained his position on the log I saw he had come up empty handed [taloned]. The owl then flew into the oak tree and gave me this great look. I believe the tangled branches and emerging oak leaves add to the theme of the image. What do you think? [ you can see the wet feathers on the owls body ].

    I like the 'angry' look, angle and eye contact. The relatively busy setting is not overly distracting in my opinion. I would raise the color temperature a few degrees.
