Created this image this past festive season in the Kruger National Park.

Just loved the textures of the mom as backdrop for the foal.

    All comments most welcome...

great image Morkel , being trying to get one like this for awhile... so well done!

only suggestion I would make is too punch up the blacks a little in selective colour. And to sharpen the eye a bit more as that is your focal point.

    well done on lovely image

I like the BW and the close crop give this image a interesting design with all the stripes.

Morkel, this is a beautie. I like it a lot. I agree on trying some more work on the eye, but overall I wish it was mine.

With Peter on this one Morkel. Go to 'Curves' an d play with the pre-sets, plus a tad more USM.

I like this a lot mate. Zebbies are one of my favourate subjects too. You got lucky with the foal against mom, as they are normally standing right behind. Your repost does pop more, and love the sharp detail and contrast.

Agree with Peter & Steve on this also, the blacks need a slight boost.
Good use of the stripes as BG Morkel.
Your repost has tackled that issue, so well done.

Repost works well, Zebra foals are often difficult to picture with Mum, this is a very interesting composition which works very well in BW.

    HI Morkel
The advantage of looking way down the line is that you have fixed it and you have a stunning image of this little foal. B&W rocks here!

Sweet repost Morkel. The difference in stripe width really makes the foal pop off the BG stripes of the mom.
