    Default Vultures Eating Rubber

I have heard of this before but didn't know it could be this bad.

    Yikes :(

I was thinking what I'd do if that happened to me, and (sadly enough) I can't imagine what I'd do being stuck between the close up photographic opportunity and the destruction of my house...

Anhinga Trail, ENP, is having that problem with cars, bad enough that they posted a warning sign.

In our town there was a group of vultures (mixed turkey and blacks) roosting in trees near some bed and breakfast places. It was very messy although I didn't hear of them eating rubber or damaging cars at that time. They were chased away by finding one that was killed by a car and hanging the carcass in the trees. It worked! Now they have moved out to other areas and probably are harassing other people.

My boss was in southern Florida over the Christmas holiday and she saw sings about this vulture behaviour and ended up chasing a bird off of parked car as they drove into the parking lot.
