I like this one Jeff!
Good HA, eye contact, great habitat shot too. Looks nice and sharp.
Maybe some one else can give some improvements, but I don't have any.
Nicely done!
Colin
Thank you Colin. I was driving to a book store to purchase a manual for my 7D and noticed Robins eating berries in a line of bushes close by. So I pulled up, added the flash and put the 500 on the BLUBB and started shooting.

Ok.....so you carry your 500mm with you like that all the time? Cool.
Colin
In this case I was going out to shot and had everything. I will do the same tomorrow. During the week, I do not carry my 500, just the 400 in a Tamrac 10 case unless I have something planned.
I like this very much Jeff,
you have a good head angle with a sharp clean eye, good color rendition and fine feather details. I like the natural habitat. Would only suggest just a little more room on the bottom for the virtual feet...good show, keep them coming...
Makes me nervous to leave my camera gear in the car even for a minute if I go into a store or something....!! Esp. the big lens!!
Might just be personal preference, or my monitor, but I would make just tiny changes in contrast with curves; sharpen just slightly; and darken the eye just a tiny tiny bit. The reflection in it makes it look a bit light to me.
Very nice Jeff. I love the habitat and lovely background! WB looks good - did you use AWB?

Hi Jeff - lots to like... Good HA - exposure on the money - good composition.
I am always paranoid about leaving my gear in the car - dont know why have insurance.
Good show :)
