    Hi Jim!

Great action in this one. The eagles on each side really add a lot to the comp.

    Was this a heavy crop?

Hey Jim: This is about as iconic of an eagle photo as I've seen. I'm going to have to pull the one I just posted.:( Really, this is a fantastic shot and definitely one I expect to see published. Well done.

Great scene, not only two of them are fighting but they also have audience from the sides. Very nice.

this is a superb interaction shot!! well done...
I'm also curious to know if it's a large crop as some IQ seems missing?
if anything I might tone down the perch and greens...

Very nice family interaction. I suddenly wonder how fares the mother-in-law? Sharpening is a bit evident on my monitor as a slight halo round the birds.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the comments. With respect to cropping, I did crop it, but not so that the perspective changed. 200mm was a little short for the situation. I don't see any halo. I used PK Sharpener and backed off a bit on output sharpening. The eyes of the two outside birds were sharpened as a separate step. As to the perch and greens, I did spend some time mulling that over in processing and finally went with it this way. As I recall, it was overcast and damp and colors looked rich.

It is definitely a neat photo with the interaction which is taking place.

Id does look to have a rather heavy cyan cast to it on my monitor.

    Hi Jim
Great Image. There is a cyan cast, remove it, and the image will be even better.

Very beautiful interaction shot! BG is nice too, agree with color cast needing to be removed. TFS

    Hi,

Regarding the cyan color cast comments, I don't see it on my monitor. I just opened the image in PS3, assigned it an sRGB profile, opened a hue/saturation layer, and moved the saturation slider all the way to +100 and got some magenta and a small amount of blue. No cyan. Given that it was a cloudy, overcast day, this is not unusual and not something I would color correct. However, I recognize that color correction is subjective.

    Cheers!
