    This photo was taken in YNP on a cold, snowy and gray day. Not the best conditions, but you have to take what the conditions give you. Some cropping and levels adjustment in PS.

    Canon EOS-1D Mark II, f/5.6, 1/1000, ISO 400, 500mm f/4 with 1.4 extender.

    Wellcome on board Louis. I like the soft light and the action here a lot but I think that the owl is a bit tight in the frame. BG is a bit distracting and doesn´t help to isolate the bird but I like the effect of merging between the BG and the bird and the winter mood. Keep them coming :)

    I basically agree with Juan. For the background, I would darken it and may even crop off some of it from the top to help the viewers focus on the owl more.

    Great capture. I agree with previous comments specially cropping a bit off the top.
