    You did fairly well with a difficult subject in harsh light. At what time was the image created? I do like the open bill and the raised foot. Welcome, and thanks a ton for your membership support.

    ps: In bright sun using lots (zero or even +1) of flash can help at lot.

    Hi Arthur ,

    Thank you for your appreciation and advice . I will try out your suggestion on the flash .

    This was shot at 2:45 PM in may , with the sun being harshest and temperatures ranging around 42 Deg C in Delhi .

    Hi Nonnie, Beautiful bird and like Artie I like the raised foot and open beak. Compositional rise maybe a little more space in front if you have it and I think a tad more sharpening would also help.

    You did a good job on this guy considering the intensity of light. I like the open beak and BG a lot but I think that it needs more room at the right. Very nice species by the way :)

    Like the fact that the kingfisher is doing something interesting when you caught him in your lens ,very handsome
