    Default Eastern Bluebird female

Shot this with my new tripod I got for Christmas under cloudy skies. I always like the color in photos when it's cloudy. What do you think?

Nice feather detail, perch has some interest. I like the OOF background but the one brown leaf that intersects the head is a little distracting. Generally, I like the perch to be parellel to the camera plane so it is in focus but the fact that the perch in front of the bird is sharp adds much to the scene. Overall, a nice shot.

Perch and BG create some distractions, nice techs and close for a 300MM lens - on balance, nice shot.

Rich, great eye contact and comp, i like how the background compliments the bluebird's breast. the diffused light looks good to me.
