    Another shot from Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland from 1/1/10.

    400 5.6L
    1/1250
    f/5.6
    Manual metering +1 off blue sky
    ISO 400

    slight crop to 8x10 dimension

    used the gold reflector tool in Nik Color efx pro to lighten up the underwings.

    Beautiful detail on the underwings. I also like the Nik effect and the way the white feathers seem to outline the tail and wings in the rear.

    Lovely and sharp and great plumage colour and detail, Michael. Blue looks a little too saturated to my eye.

    Yikes...while the photo is in color, it does not work as a color photograph. To me it would be better b/w. The blue (purple?) and the red are not quite complimentary...
