    Default Grackle, multi textured

    Attached Images Attached Images

This is a grackle shot from a duckweed covered swampy area.
Extracted the grackle, added a golden cloud bg and then a
multicolor paint texture in overly at reduced opacity and
    then a slight canvas texture.

Thanks for looking in and c/c.....see y'all soon

Wow...I love it, Dave. The grackle's flourescent blue feathers against that multi-colored BG is really eye catching. The swoop of his tail to the ULC is great - it leads your eye down to his eye and back up again. Only thing I see that I might improve upon is the blotch in the LLC - toning it down to match the surrounding area might be nicer.

Excellent composition, Dave. Love grackle's posture. To me what makes this standout is your choice of colors.

Dave, Almost like a fire and ice appeal. Very nice colors and great extraction! The super sharp eye and great looking pose make this special!:) I like the sig. also.

Oh, that's nice! Super colors, lovely comp and great detail on the grackle. Did I mention the colors?... :)

Dave, interesting effect, and of course the colours are amazing. Please explain how you create your "multicolour paint texture"

what a riot of colors.. love the dynamic pose and texturing. I'd like to see a version with the canvas texture removed from the grackle, just to see if it would add more depth, but this is extra nice as is. Very well done Dave :)

Count me as odd man out on this one :) The thumbnail looked great, colors and COMP but I just don't get the paint texture thing.

Love the colours on the grackle, I might tone down the BG just a bit so it doesn't compete with the bird as much. Looks like he is burning up in the netherworld:) Good PP work Dave.
