Default Willet on a brisk walk

Another one from Galveston beach. A little better contrast than my previous posts.

40D. 400mm at f/6.3. iso 640. 1/800. +1 1/3 exp. comp in-camera and then some more in DPP. fill flash. Catchlight enhanced in photoshop elements using clone tool.

    All opinions welcome.

    Hi Kaustubh,

I really like the striding pose, the HA and angle. I do however think this shot would benefit from a bit more contrast added in levels, curves and a bit more saturation to give some more punch. I didn't have a high quality shot to play around with, but I hope it gives you a general idea and hope that you like it....:)

Krijn, thx. I get the idea from your repost. Will go back to the RAW file and play.

Yes, the re-post brings it more alive although I am not sure I like the brightened blue strip below the bird. Working with the RAW file should work better, especially around the beak.

I like the angle KD, and the partially raised foot adds to the image. If I had to change anything, I would darken the BG a tad.
