    Default Blue Gray Gnatcatcher

Taken at Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland.
Lots of these little guys there and it was a challenge to get one in the light and in focus before they flew off.

    Stats: EOS 7d+500 4.0L+1.4x TCII
    f/5.6
    1/1250
    ISO 400

cropped to vertical and burned the edges. Should I burn the background some more?

You did well Michael. Whites are nicely controlled against the dark BG. Sharpness looks good. And you got even light on the bird. The bird looks a little too centered as presented. I might move it a little higher in the frame or go with a horizontal crop.

I think you did well with a very tough subject. Good detail in the bird and exposure handled very well.

Well done as above. I would sharpen the bird just a bit more.
