    Doug,
I love the exposure that looks perfect on my monitor - bright white, but not blown, and beautiful color on the head.

Outstanding pose and exposure. Different crop works very well here.

Hi Doug, Great pose with nice details. I think the three drops of water just in front of the breast adds a lot to the image. I also like the placement of the bird in frame and the inclusion of the majority of the splash ring. Thanks for sharing.

    Doug:

Very nice, techs as mentioned. I think the whites on the head a bit warm, but the overall exposure is good.

I like the subtle colors in the water which play off the colors on the birds head.

Nice detail under the near wing.

    Cheers

    Randy

These birds are extremely difficult to properly expose, and you seem to have done it excellently. Great crop. I also love how you captured the true iridescence of the bufflehead's head.

Killer pose. Dirty belly. Great colors on the head which could use a tad more sharpening.

Doug, congrats for a great capture ! I´ve never seen this species, the wings look short, kind of out of proportion with the rest of the body.

Nice image with great pose. Looks like you have got your 7D working well. A little selective sharpening on the head for me too.

This is so cute Doug, lovely pose! Agree with a tad more sharpening on the face.
