    Default Red Backed Hawk

    Hi There

Another shot form the HCT this time of "Mace" the Red backed Hawk who is flown in the Woodland Owl and Hawk Demonstration, and has just caught some food thrown into the air on the wing.

Talk about close.........I'll bet you could feel the breeze as he went by. And to think.....you're on a first name basis with these raptors. Excellent sharpness and detail in the head. Looks like you had some good light as well. I always want a little more DOF but with that sharp head my eyes don't wander far.

    John,

You are really spending alot of time with these captive raptors. Some of the images you have produced have been truly outstanding. I'm not too wild about the composition of this one, though. The cut off foot kind of kills it for me.
