another textured image, this time a Fox Sparrow that I photographed during the fall. I used two textures on this version, both in opacity mode layers, masking and removing texture via the lasso tool as I went along.

Beautifully done Cindy. I just love the pose and the perch.The texture overlay is well done! I might try to clear away just the little bit of green from the face/eye area. The lighting and the colors are awesome!:)

uhoh.. I meant to upload a reworked version and lost the whole deal.. sorry!

appreciate the feedback Denise- there were a couple of errant pine needles that fell across the sparrows head, and I'm always reluctant to use the cloning tool much, because cloning has never been my strong suit. The bit of green wasn't too distracting to me, but I did a quick 'fix' to compare the two, thanks :)

Cindy, this is lovely! The colors and the bird/perch are so beautiful together. What's funny is that the orange on the left side almost acts as something else to look at - it keeps that side of the frame from feeling too empty. Nicely done!

Hi Cindy, I think it looks fine. I didn't know it was a pine needle-thought maybe some of the overlay. Great looking image.:)
