    The image are created north of Falun in Sweden!
    Canon 40D, Canon EF 300/2.8L IS USM, 2x extender, Canon 580EXII, Better Beamer, f6.3, iso 500, 1/200s.

    Nice bird. I love discovering new species (I don't recall seeing this one before). Good warm light, and overall comp looks fine. HA is not ideal as the bird is looking away The small piece of peeling bark is competing for attention, with my eye drawn to it a little more than I like. I like the subtle pinkish hue to the eye, very neat, and great view of the curved claws!

    I really love the colors and background on this image. I agree with Daniel's comments for improvement, except for the piece of bark, which I don't mind.

    Very nice image.
