    Default Only mangroves

I spent several days paddling around the Everglades and mostly shot with my 17-70mm lens. Although the mangroves are monotonous, I do enjoy photographing them. I purposely overexposed this shot and then played a bit with some PS filters in postprocessing. I liked the diffuse glow effect here. Maybe your comments can inspire me to work more with some of these types of photos (which is pretty much 90% of what I see out there!) and create some unique qualities to them.

1/160, f9, ISO400, shot from canoe and shutter speed is about as low as I want it to go, manual metering, probably +1 compensation.

    Thanks for looking.

Hi Connie, How ya been? It looks like you've been paddling around! I love the high-key look to this and the mirrored reflection. I do look for a point of interest, maybe a sweeping upwards of the mangroves in the ROT. Or a standout darker color tone or branch grouping. It is still a lovely view, just maybe something to consider on your vast journeys.:)

Thanks Denise, that's the kind of feedback I am looking for. What is ROT?

I like the high key feel of the sky and reflection Connie and your minimal comp.. my eye tends to wander around the frame looking for an 'anchor' though. How cool to have such a wonderful area to explore :)
