    Canon EOS 40D, 500mm f/4 L IS.

    700mm, iso-250, f/6, 1/250sec.


    Did the same experiment as the marsh harrier male posted earlier, with a lower iso and shutter as the subject was still. was lucky to get both the fellows on the same day. a little bit of clutter has been removed.

    Hi Ramesh, I like the bird, the COMP, the BKGR, and the careful cropping especially along the bottom frame edge. The bird itself appears somewhat over-sharpened to me especially in the area of the lores and the bill.

    I like it too for the same reasons as Artie, but if you look carefully around the perimeter of the bird you can see post processing evidence such as small clone marks and a strange halo all around. This, and the oversharpening, need to be cleaned up...then you will have an excellent final product!:)
