Another from late November in Sanibel, about an hour after sunrise on Bowmans Beach. Underexposed in camera so boosted +2/3 in RAW Capture. Cropped about 30%, tweaked saturation, NR on sky, and sharpened bird. I see some noise on the bird's belly, but was reluctant to run Topaz on the bird. Any suggestions? C&C always appreciated.

Hi Bill, great HA and eye contact/expression.:) I agree with your self-assessment re: noise on belly and suggest you might try Topaz or lessen the increase to exposure in conversion---you would have less detail but a trade-off in noise? And on my monitor, the sky could use a bit more noise reduction.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Katie

Hi Bill - Hmmm think I would rather noise than a loss of detail - I am travelling so dont have a CC screen - could it be a bit lighter still???
Good ha and eye contact - does look a little bit funky in some places.
    Keep em coming :)

Thanks Katie and Lance. Katie, I ran another pass of NR on the sky, which did help. I tried a low pass of NR on the bird but couldn't find the right compromise between removal of noise and loss of detail, so I left it as per the OP. Lance, I have been avoiding the S/H tool, but I did use curves to lighten the belly without clipping the highlights, which seemed to help in the repost. Thanks for the helpful comments.

    Hi Bill,
I like the V wing spread. you have a good head angle and good sharp eye contact. I rather have noise than lack of details...you did well in positioning the bird in frame. The color rendition is good and the blue sky makes him pop...good show...keep them coming...
