I took an image of a Herring Gull (first winter- juvenile). If my ID is wrong please correct me,thanks. I added a fractalius effect and masked back in some detail.

Nice job Denise! Looks like one of those hybrid chickens! I still haven't picked up Fractilius yet:(.
Wow! Denise, this is such a cool effect. The eye is fantastic with the electric feather. Excellent work with this one. (And it is a herring gull, a juvy it looks to be).

Thanks Dan and Connie. Connie, Thanks for the ID check!:)
a nice portrait to start with Denise. I like the fract effect here, and the dark bg's it creates really allows the bird to pop. I might rework the eye area, the shadowed area looks a bit out of place to me. You've really got the hang of that program, well done :)
Cindy, That is the actual marking on the Gull, not a shadow. If you look at the orig. you will see it. I kinda feel it should stay. But will look into covering it. Thanks.
Beautiful effect, Denise. Loving all your frac postings.
Thankyou all for your comments.:)
Denise, another really neat fractalius image. I checked out the link to your website - your photos are amazing:)
