Sabya, I like the action you hve captured across the water, especially the splashes. With images like these, its always difficult where to place the subject - you want to show the splashes, and at the same time, space for him to run into. If this were mine I would crop just infront of the large splash, and add to the RHS.

Great action shot. I like that you left the birds reflection in. I also like all the splashes so I would leave the crop as is.

Sabya, liked the splashes a lot. Liked the raised foot and the wing.

I know you dont like to crop a lot...but IMO, this will look better with the bird( and the splashes) a bit larger in the frame. I wouldn't mind losing a significant part of the reflection...but that might just be my personal preference. A tad brighter might be better. The BG and the red on the bill is a bit dull.

Superb shot. I like a lot the splashes and the action. Maybe a bit larger in the left and bottom. Anyway superb.

    Stuart,
I was trying to create images with lots of splashes. Hence, I had used the outer most sensor to track the subject. The composition was deliberate. Infact, I had also experimented with a lower focal length (400 f2.8+1.4x) to get even more splashes.

    Kaustubh,
I agree that a little would be better.

    Peter and Gabi,
Thanks for your comments. Highly appreciated.

    Cheers,

I like the comp as is. The splashes are pretty cool and I can't help but see a bit of a sine wave by following the top edge of the splashes, the flying droplets, and the bird's wing. What was he being chased by?

    Steve,
Thanks for your comments. I had not thought about the sine wave. Now noticed it. It was being chased by another Indian Moorhen.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
