    Default Poinsettia Painting

I took an in-camera blur of a pink Poinsettia and added some textures. One of which I got off the web as a freebie and the other I created using brush strokes and color. Blended them till I liked the way they look. I was going for a soft romantic -old world painted look.

I love the texture in this one! And the pink color. Mission accomplished. It does have an old world look.

You hit the jackpot with the old world look - it's lovely, Denise. I really like how light the texture is in the BG of the flowers petals...very nice!

Hey Denise, Happy new year! I initially didn't like this image much. I then decided to blow it up to full screen and look at for a while, and it clicked. Very nice!! I love the texture and I like the depth created by the colors and textures. I also like your new 2010 signature.
