    It was taken in a very harsh light and at long distance. as it was starting high tide the water vapour and heat mixed and made a mirage between us so the clarity is not that best but i like the moment as Heron caught up with a water snake and playing with it for a long time.

    Sharpeness as posted looks good despite conditions you describe. Nice catch by the heron, and good comp for this image (although cropping some off the top would work, too). Wish for a slightly better HA, and I feel that some parts of the bird could be toned down a bit.

    I like the light, BG and feeding action and agree regarding head angle. I might crop a bit off the top and left.

    Although you say this was captured in harsh light, the colours look nice and warm. Good low angle, and his catch a bonus.
