    Default Weekly Theme: Textures

glad to see this theme for the week, as I'm fascinated with texture work and have pretty much textured everything but the kitchen sink.. I'm definitely what one could call a texture addict ;)
This is an obelisking blue darner that I photographed a few years ago with a texture layer applied.
suggestions and comments are always appreciated :)

Cindy, gorgeous work with the textures! I think everything works well together...only suggestion would be to get that DF out of the middle. If you had angled the camera a bit you could have put the plants and DF more on a diagonal and that would have made your eye sweep through the image instead of stopping in the middle. Still...very nicely done!

Cindy, Stunning! You have been so inspiring to me and many others w/ your texture work. I love the colors, the overlay work, the selective focus, the comp., all of it- just beautiful!!!

Cindy, That is just beautiful. I love the colors and that the dragon's head matches the foliage colors.

Look forward to seeing more of your creations and learning more about this from you.

appreciate the feedback all. Julie, this was the only angle I could get on the darner, since it was basking over a lake and I only had a very small semi-solid boggy area to kneel on using my 300mm- to change positions would have put me over my head in very cold water :)

Well, it's a minor thing...I certainly love and appreciate the image as is. If there had been more photograph around him, I think a horizontal image would have been nice as well since that is the direction the plant leaves are going in. Beautiful work, Cindy.
