    Default Textured Coneflower

I photographed this purple coneflower in our herb garden during this past autumn. I had to clone out several petals from another flower in the LRC that were in front of this flower. I added two textures, one of rock and the other of bokeh, both from my photos, using soft light blending mode. I also did a render clouds overlay at soft light blending mode, and finally I applied another cloud overlay set to vivid light and a color fill layer to create a slight vignette.

Lovely work, Christopher. I'd love to have seen this with 6' of stem at the end in a vertical format...it would be STUNNING! Great job with the choice of textures - I love that you added clouds as an overlay!

    Christopher,

The colors are just stunning in this. I love the DOF with the whole flower sharply in focus and the wonderful background.

Thanks a lot everyone! :) Much appreciated.

Jules, I chose the comp that I did for this because there was another flower overlapping on the right side and I wanted to showcase more of the petals then would have been possible with a close up vertical. That said though, your idea of a vertical does sound interesting and I will keep it mind.
