    I found this guy while out for a hike in the Amazon back in May. Good thing he was sitting nice and still as it was hopelessly dark ;)

    Very cool species! and very sharp for 1 sec. ss. Love the stare, talons and habitat.

    Hi Glenn, Pretty darn impressive for 1 sec. I like the pose with the strong eye contact. I also think your composition displays the bird very well. I am not familiar with this bird but If my eyes and monitor do not deceive me I believe I see a slight green cast on the bird. I tried Robert O'Toole's Average Blur technique from his APTAPS-2 and the change was subtle but I thought it was an improvement. The browns and whites seemed to brighten up a bit. Thanks for sharing another lovely image.

    This is an owl with Charactor Glenn,and you captured him so well ,amazing how much detail you managed to capture in that low light

    Terrific capture for 1 second....never seen this species. Very cool looking owl.
