Nice BG, exposure, and sharpness. The HA would be better if the head was turned towards us just a bit more. Did you cut off a branch below the tail?
P.S. This is a House Finch
I guess you meant finch not wren:)
In any case very nice wintery feel on this image.
Like the bird pose, feather detail and perch.
Very nice image of this "common" bird.
Nice details and BG in this image. Well done.
Nice fluffed up pose the bg looks great and I like your choice of composition it works great. Well Done!
Nice looking Finch, well composed only needs just a tad more head turn.

Nice detail and exposure. I like the fluffed pose, telling me it is cold out there. TFS - I've never seen this LBJ.
Very nice shot...composed well, great BG, decent HA. Very good techs, sharp/detailed. I think whats losing it for me is that it is side or even back lit, leaving the head/breast in shadow. A nice front lighting would really make it pop IMO.
Gary:
Sharp, nice scale to perch, angle in frame good for me.
I do agree it is a bit dark for my tastes.
I did a minor adjustment, brought the image up about 2/3 of a stop, but thought the sky then too bright, so did a curves adjustment, filled mask with black, used large soft brush and painted with white over parts of the sky to rebalance the image.
Lots of options here.
Cheers
Randy
Thank you for all the comments. Randy I like the repost you did for the bird, but my background. I finally had time to set up a blind in the backyard. Trying to dial in the better beamer now
