The size of their feet is amazing. I like the walking pose, eye contact and sharpness and only wish the sun would have been behind you.

Love the sharpness and those huge toes (and the sheet of water). In addition to a better light angle I wish that the head were turned a bit more toward you.

Cool looking bird. The sheet of water between the toes is a great capture.

Tough light, but I like the level of detail and those incredible feet with the water between the toes. I love the way they "walk on water".

A very attractive bird. The sheet of water between the toes is pretty cool.

Hi Hendri, super low angle, and you have captured the raised foot nicely, especially with the water between the toes. Well done mate.

    Thanks guys, your comments appreciated.

Morkel the 18MP is great but othewise not impressed but think it could be in camera setings. I think the result on this would have been better with my MKIII.

Loved the huge toes and the colors of the bird. Great action captured creating a water web between the toes.

One of the best shots I've seen of this species, really nice. Love the water on the feet!! Aside from being side lit, I think it's great!
