    Default First Post - Redwing

My good friend, Steve Kaluski, recommended that I join this forum, so here I am, and here is my first post.

Taken yesterday morning in low, bright sunlight, I wanted to capture a classic feeding Redwing. I didn't quite get that, but I'm pleased with this one nonetheless.

Welcome to BPN. A nice image to start with. I like the light, the perch, and the sweet BG. I do think this image could go a bit brighter in the mid-tones though.

    Looking forward to more!

Welcome to BPN, Graham! Very nice first post. I like the perch, BG, light and eye contact. Maybe a bit less contrast and I would run noise reduction on the background. Keep them coming!

Welcome from a recent new member. This is a great forum to learn.
Nice image, I like the pose, perch, light and BG. I agree on toning down the contrast.

Hi Graham - a big warm welcome to the BPN family. Nice first post.
A little less contrast on the bird - like the composition and the bg.
Appears to be a bit of a halo under the beak.
    Keep em coming :)

    Welcome!
BG is beautiful, I also like the Comp and perch.
As said, less contrast would look better.
