I shot this the other day at my local pond. I added a new reflection then a frac. effect then a dark,blur vignette. I masked back in the eye.
I was thinking of eliminating the head of the reflection. Any thoughts?

Pretty cool, I like the effect and would probably remove the reflection.

Here was my version w/o the head part of reflection.
Like the first D, love the black BG and that eye! Another one with a nice soft feel.
Very nice! I like how the head has just a tad of white to separate from the bkg. My preference is the second one. I think the reflection pulled interest away from the main subject.
Another beautiful frac image, Denise. I like the second post better. I think if the first one had a more pronounced reflection, it would have worked, IMHO.

The treatment of the bird is mega in all three. I prefer it with the head REFL. And the one without it! Actually leaning towards the latter now.... The only thing that bugs me is the wide light gray area around the bird (in each image).

Thanks Artie, I liked the one w/ the reflection at first but I am leaning toward the one w/o it also. The gray area is the actual BG. I added a dark vignette to the edges. I could fill in the entire BG w/ the darker. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated.:)

another amazing fract! that bright gold eye just grabs my own and holds it.. I definitely like the second version best with no reflection. I think a black bg would really make it sing even more. Beautifully done Denise :)

after viewing the repost, I still like the second one better.. the all-black background is a bit flat and the tonality in the second one adds a bit of depth and interest for me. It's fun to experiment with diff. versions though :)
Love what you've done here Denise. There are subtle differences in images but I would take any of them.
What software did you use? And is it available for Mac? Somewhere I read that Frac... was only for PC.

Denise....this is beyond words. this one is waaaaay out of the box and extremely dramatic.

Hi Denise a really interesting thread on a fine original image.
To me the 2nd post without the reflection is my preference, but I would like to see it cropped in from the left to a smidgin before the first white line in the water.
