Happened upon three Pintails by accident. Sitting at the edge of a pond just setting up, when I hear this snorting sound and out from under the brush overhanging the water these three appear-no light and I had no flash.
But managed to get 5 shots before they flew.

Sweet. I wish I could get closer to the Pintails around here. I might tone down the reflection on the bill a touch.

Very nice. I like how the background compliments the birds colors. Thanx for sharing.

Some times things just work out. The detail in the Pintail is great. Comp with space to swim into is also good. I agree the water reflection is a bit distracting. All that said great image.

A very pleasing composition Ted, Good exposure & detail, and I like the cool tones in the water complimenting the blue bill.

Very nice, Ted. Did you use Shadow/Highlight on the face? It looks a little noisy. Agree in toning down the reflection.

I did apply S/H overall did not do selective work. That is something I need to get better at.
