I like the subtle characteristics of this bird. If you are able,I'd try cloning out the area around his rear. It's obviously gravel,but it looks as if he's unloading some excrement. Maybe lighten the bird a little. Thanks for posting this.

Sharpness and light look good, and the raised crest adds to it. Nice to see another lark species. :) If it were mine, I might remove the dark area in the upper left.

Nice catchlight in the eye, good ha and sharp - lots to like here.
A lower shooting angle - although not possible - would have been very interesting.
