This image was captured in my backyard set-up. A stick was removed protruding from the top of it's head heading towards the upper right(ish) of the frame.

Perfect techs. Exposure, details and head angle are wonderful.

Not big fan of a perch going through frame. It might be just me.

Sweet! Great head angle and details. I like the background and wish the bird had chosen a different perch. Was this a drip pond set-up?

Thank you for the critiques. Not sure what a drip pond is...however, there is a feeder in the area. The BG is the trunk of a mature Pine tree about 60' behind the bird. As far as the stick...one of my main problems is at this close distance using the 500mm f/4L I cannot get the whole bird in focus head to tail with the stick going left to right of the frame while maintaining a nice even BG. I can live with the stick personally..I wasn't photographing it even though it's part of the scene. :)
