Wouldn't change much here. I love the sharpness, background, and catchlight in the eye. The little leg is also great. Very nice image!

Hi Jim, this shot is technically perfect. I shoot humingbirds too. But I use flash. I like the fact that you did not use flash here and got such a fine result. The lighting looks real nice. I am surprised in fact. I would think you would need bright sunlight (which I hate) to get the shutter speed you used. I want to try to go without flash myself now.

    Jim,

Every thing is working great here. Comp, exposure, details and subject are all working great. Well done image.
Excellent image considering working only with natural light.

I agree with the others that this is an excellent image with all the tech stuff spot on. I don't want to be the Scrooge here, but I wish there were a flower or leaf to anchor the left of the image.

I like the placement of the HB in the frame. Lovely colours, sharp, and against a great OOF BG. Well captured Jim.

Very nice. Great detail, light, and color. I like the subtle color shading differences in the BG.

Beautifull presentation with sharp detail and a killer BG. Very nice wing position and good catchlight in the eye.

Great shot, esp for 1/1250! I have shots @ 1/2000 of these guys that show a lot more blur in the wings.

    Very nice!!
