There is lots going on here Charles and I like it. Nice catch with the berry in the mouth and nice snowy detail. I would prefer to have more room on the left to better balance the composition. Might have been more ideal if that branch didn't cut off the bird's rear end but you can't always have everything!
Nice snow and berries. Too dark, too flat and too soft. Lightened, added contrast, and sharpened one pass at .2/500. It's all in Digital Basics and you have a copy so get with the program! :) :) :)
