    Default Before/After - Painted Shoveler

I was searching for a suitable image to create painting effect on a duck and came up with this shoveler image taken a while ago. Used Topaz remask to extract the ducks and then use Topaz simplify on a duplicate layer to get the painted effect. Used a layer mask to open up the eyes and changed opacity. Then created a new layer and applied a color gradient of blue and orange. Merged with the shovelers layer and created three copy of this layer. Applied flood filter with three different horizon and other settings on each of these layers. Then used layer mask to blend and open up lower layers to create the final effect. Hope you like it...

Very nice bit of work Indranil. I think maybe a tiny bit of water disturbance/ripple in front & behind the ducks. I love the colors and you did a great job layering the flood. I'm still trying to get one Shoveler in the frame!:)

Love the colours and the placement in the frame Indranil, might just try to smooth out the lines around the bottom of the birds for a smoother transition in to the water.

Beautiful color palette, Indranil! The water is absolutely sublime - you chose some lovely colors to match the ducks. I think I'd prefer this with a little less effect on the ducks - so it showed in the fine details but left them looking more natural - but that's just my personal opinion.

Thanks for all the feedback. I have added a bit more water ripples in front and back of the ducks and also smoothened out the transition of the water levels around the duck. Here is the repost...
